Frank Vogel: Paul George Still “A Ways Away” From Returning
People have been hoping, whispering about Paul George aiming to making his return to the Indiana Pacers lineup this month. March 14th was set as a potential date for George to be back in uniform.
George, who returned to practice activities ahead of schedule, suffered his leg injury last July.
Pacers head coach Frank Vogel on George’s timetable, via Jeremiah Johnson of FS Indiana:
Frank Vogel @FSIndiana on Paul George, “Still a ways away, not going to play March 14th, we’re watching him progress…”

The Pacers have fallen under .500 and experienced the kind of lumps that are expected after losing your best player. Paul George will be 25 years old this year and has plenty of time to ensure his full recovery. The urge to get back out there is probably intensifying, especially being that his team is still in the thick of that mess of a battle for the eighth seed in the East.
Vogel is keeping things patient and realistic, as he should. There’s no imminent rush to get Paul George back on the floor. Not until next season.
