The current MVP of College Basketball, Wisconsin’s Frank Kaminsky is a relatively safe pick compared to his peers. Because he is a senior, you know what you’re going to get. So when you’re a team like the Indiana Pacers, you can rest easy knowing what a player like Kaminsky can do for your team. Only question is, do you need him?
Kaminsky recently interviewed with the Pacers and he came out of it feeling good, thinking that him playing in the Fieldhouse would be a good fit.
“They kind of alluded to the fact that they want to get up and down more, get out and run a little bit more but at the same time under control,” Kaminsky said after his meeting with the Pacers at the combine. “That’s kind of how it was for me my last year in Wisconsin, so I think it’ll be a good fit.“
Now the Pacers have some choices. If they want a big, Myles Turner of Texas is there, or if they want a point guard (which is where I think they should go) they can go for Cameron Payne of Murray State. Either way they have options and they need to be sure with it, I don’t think they can afford to have a player that isn’t ready to start, Indy have had their injury problems so they will need somebody that is ready to go and produce.
