Netflix has finally dropped the first official trailer for ‘The Punisher’. The trailer shows Frank Castle’s tragic origin and provides context as to what he’s trying to achieve by becoming The Punisher. Frank Castle made his debut in the Netflix universe in season 2 of ‘Daredevil’ and has had fans clamoring for more ever since. The Punisher and Daredevil are very similar characters in many ways, but the one major difference between the two is the Punishers willingness to kill his enemies. There were many great back and forths about that very subject on ‘Daredevil: Season 2’ but there is no word yet on if Daredevil will appear on ‘The Punisher‘. The trailer did confirm however that Deborah Ann Woll’s ‘Karen Page’ would, in fact, be appearing. There’s no word yet on what capacity she’ll be appearing in or for how long but the fact that she can be seen in the trailer confirms that this season will have some connection to the greater Netflix universe as a whole.
