FOX has announced that they will air an hour long special led by TMZ focused on the Netflix hit series, Tiger King. TMZ Investigates: Tiger King — What Really Went Down will feature Harvey Levin interviewing people connected to Joseph Maldonado-Passage, better known as Joe Exotic. The special also promises to showcase “never-before-seen footage” connected to the story. Along the way, they will also examine whether Joe Exotic is guilty of murder, the disappearance of Carole Baskin’s husband and much more.
This is the second special TMZ has put together this year. Earlier this year, the media outlet put together an hour long special on the British Royal Family. Ultimately, TMZ earned 3.3 million viewers for their work.
TMZ and FOX are the first of many teams working on a Tiger King special. ID is working to air a series based on the Netflix project later this year. In addition, Jeffrey Lowe has said that there may be another episode added to the series in the near future.
TMZ Investigates: Tiger King — What Really Went Down will air on Monday, April 13 on FOX.
