After 23 years, Tom Brady has decided to hang up his jersey, clean out his locker and walk away from the NFL. In his retirement, Brady has decided to pursue a career in broadcasting. Diving head first into television, he has signed a nine-figure deal with FOX and will join the network’s NFL broadcast crew this year. With that in mind, rumors of a Brady appearance during the Super Bowl LVII broadcast have picked up. As kickoff nears, Fox Sports President of Production & Operations/Executive Producer Brad Zager has shot down those rumors.
“He’s not going to be on our set,” he said.
“He won’t be in the booth.”
Kevin Burkhardt and Greg Olsen will lead this year’s Super Bowl broadcast for FOX. Throughout the week, FOX executives have not held back their praise for the former NFL tight end.
“There are one thousand things to worry about the week of the Super Bowl. Greg Olsen going out there and doing an amazing broadcast is not on my list,” Zager told Andrew Marchand of the New York Post.
“When I got this job, Greg was my pick. I was all about making sure Greg Olsen was there at the time. He was below Joe [Buck] and Troy [Aikman]. But once we saw what Greg could do during a full season, we had no doubts. I just loved Greg Olsen.”
