In some surprising news, former NBA sharpshooter Rex Chapman has been arrested for theft after allegedly stealing $14,000 worth of items from an Apple store. We’re guessing he’s an eBay seller on the come up for the iPhone 6 scam. I mean….COME ON.

Chapman is now charged with nine counts of theft and five counts of trafficking in stolen goods. When that NBA and Kentucky money runs dry, it gets real in the field.
Sgt. Mark Clark said Rex Chapman is alleged to have picked up items in the store, located near Scottsdale Road and Greenway, and made it appear that he was paying for the items through the store’s self-checkout. He would then leave the store without actually paying for the items.
He reportedly took the items to a local pawn shop and sold the goods for cash.
According to police, there have been seven shoplifting incidents over the last few months, adding up to more than $14,000 worth of stolen merchandise.
Chapman was originally identified by multiple employees based on his stint in the NBA.
