It’s football season and everyone knows it’s time to start building the fantasy football team as the NFL season approaches. Most people would go off who they think will do their team the best but there is more to it, you need to know their past statistics to get a decent look on how they might perform the next season. You need to know who the underdogs are and who might be getting more snaps. These five quarterbacks are the best of the best at racking up the fantasy football points and they can’t do anyone wrong on their fantasy team. To ensure you have the quarterback you need to obliterate your opponent, you need one of these five guys.
5. Peyton Manning

Peyton Manning may be a little older but you can’t count him out yet. Although he has struggled with some injuries in his past he proved last year that they aren’t going to slow him down his last few years in the league. He holds the NFL record for most passing touchdowns with 509 touchdowns breaking that record last season. He also holds a number of records he set in 2013 such as the single season touchdowns with 55; most passing yards in a season with 5,477; most passing touchdowns in a single game with seven; he also averaged the highest yards-per-game with 342.31. He can have another impressive season this year.
4. Drew Brees

Drew Brees has always been an explosive quarterback since he has joined the league. Last season he tied for first with Ben Roethlisberger for most passing yards with 4,952. Brees is one of those quarterbacks who doesn’t crack in close game situations so he is always capable of making a big play to put his team back into a game. He will score your team big points since the saints offense is built around passing. Brees threw the ball the most in league last season so as long as he is completing the ball you’re scoring points. His interception problem keeps him out of the top three tying for second with Andy Dalton with seven-teen despite his interception problem he is a solid quarterback.
3. Ben Roethlisberger

They don’t call him big Ben for no reason standing 6’5″ weighing 241 pounds he is big. Ben is one of the best when it comes to avoiding the sack and still making an accurate pass. Ben threw for 4,952 yards last season only throwing less than 300 yards in eight of eight-teen games including the wildcard game against Baltimore. So he is always a consistent threat to put big numbers up during a fantasy game. Ben is a perfect pocket passing quarterback, he only breaks the pocket when it’s absolutely necessary. Staying in the pocket allows him to make that accurate pass downfield which is how he manages to put up such big numbers game in and game out. He is guaranteed to put up big numbers like that again this year so don’t let him slip by you in the draft.
2. Aaron Rodgers

Yes that does have Aaron Rodgers and number two in the same line. Now don’t get me wrong because Rodgers is without a doubt the best quarterback in the league but, when it comes to fantasy points he doesn’t put up the best points. The Packers don’t need to throw the ball every play as they can use Eddie Lacy when needed so this is why he doesn’t put up the best fantasy points. This year could change that though as the Packers are going to limit Lacy’s touches to keep him fresh so this will open up more opportunities for Rodgers to throw it which means more completions and more fantasy points. He is the best in the league when it comes to getting his team down the field and keeping the possession going. The quarterback position comes natural to him as he stays calm and always makes the best read. He finished third among all quarterbacks last season with thirty-eight touchdown passes so you can always rely on him to put up the numbers you need.
1. Andrew Luck

This is the guy who knows how to please his fantasy owners by averaging 27.6 fantasy points per game. Why does he put up so much points? There is no one to run the ball for the Colts causing him to throw it more and opening up more opportunities to make a touchdown pass. Luck led the league last season in most touchdown passes with forty so it’s no surprise how he puts up so many fantasy points. Now there is some downsides to having to throw the ball as much as he has to, it puts him at risk to throwing an interception which he did a lot last year throwing a total of sixteen last season. He made up with it with his rushing numbers. He himself rushed for 263 yards and scored three rushing touchdowns that is impressive numbers for a young quarterback like himself. That wasn’t just a once and a lifetime performance as the Colts will continue to throw the ball and Luck will continue to put up big numbers. Don’t let him slip through your grasp get him as early as you can.
