Sony Pictures has released the first look teaser trailer to Popeye.
Sony released test footage for the animated film, along with a featurette from director Genndy Tartakovsky.
The newly released clip features Popeye, Olive Oil and Eugene the Jeep as their ship comes under seige by vicious pirates.
In the featurette, Tartakovsky admits that he was destined to make the Popeye film.
Popeye was announced in 2012 and will be released in 2016!
