So, first Facebook acquires Friendfeed. Then they roll out realtime search. Now it looks like Facebook Lite is next on the list. Thousands of Facebook users have been chosen to test out Facebook Lite, but the details are scarce.
The message the users were greeted with was:
“You have been selected as a beta tester for Facebook Lite!
We are building a faster, simpler version of Facebook that we call Facebook Lite. It’s not finished yet and we have plenty of kinks to work out, but we would love to get your feedback on what we have built so far.
Below is a supposed screen shot of the new Facebook. One user has been quoted saying “looks like a simplified version of twitter with comments enabled. On 2nd thought, it looks like simplified FriendFeed.”
But keep in mind, both this screenshot and comment were from a couple of days ago, before these messages arrived.
