This week, Fireboy DML took another step in his promising career. After collaborating with global pop star Ed Sheeran for the official remix, Fireboy DML’s “Peru” debuted on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in the United States.
“I recorded a verse for it… and it’s a song that’s blowing up in Nigeria and Ghana at the moment and their club scene runs over Christmas,” Ed Sheeran
“I’m obsessed with it. I mean, Cherry [Sheeran’s wife] will tell you, I’ve had this song on repeat constantly in the house for the last week.”
With the song hitting its stride in the U.S., Fireboy DML has decided to add another touch to it. This time around, he recruited Atlanta’s 21 Savage and Los Angeles native BLXST for another remix. As expected, the song continues to knock regardless of who hops on the track that Sheeran described as “addictive.”
