Netflix is no stranger to entertaining treasure hunts. Last year, the streaming platform delivered one of the best series of the year, Outer Banks. This year, they are setting their sights on another journey. Instead of heading out to the Outer Banks of North Carolina, they are looking toward Hawaii for Finding Ohana.
“A summer in rural O‘ahu takes an exciting turn for two Brooklyn-raised siblings when a journal pointing to long-lost treasure sets them on an epic adventure with new friends, and leads them to reconnect with their Hawaiian heritage,” Netflix writes.
“Home is where Ohana is.”
Directed by Jude Weng, Finding Ohana stars Ke Huy Quan, Kelly Hu, Chris Parnell, Ricky Garcia and Ryan Higa. Marc Evan Jackson, Owen Vaccaro and Branscombe Richmond also appear in the film.
