There’s no doubt that you’ve heard about The Angry Birds Movie in progress. Yesterday, the final trailer was released for the movie, with the birdies looking furious. If you’re like me, originally you may have been almost offended that this iPhone game would be adapted to the screen – it almost feels like an insult to the industry. Nonetheless, even I have to admit, the film’s trailers that have showed up thus far suggest that the movie won’t be as hopeless as many of us have been picturing (let’s all take a moment to pray that there won’t be another Pixels travesty!). Fortunately, the flick even seems to have a reasonable plot:
“The movie takes us to an island populated entirely by happy, flightless birds – or almost entirely. In this paradise, Red (Jason Sudeikis), a bird with a temper problem, speedy Chuck (Josh Gad), and the volatile Bomb (Danny McBride) have always been outsiders. But when the island is visited by mysterious green piggies, it’s up to these unlikely outcasts to figure out what the pigs are up to” (Rovio Entertainment).
Although the new trailer has some major spoilers, it does show more elements of the Angry Birds game (slingshots, of course!). Check out the latest trailer:
Who knew that the silly storyline of the games could turn into something so dramatic? Cinema Blend predicts that the film will be “hilarious PG fun for the whole family”. Let us know what you think about this newest trailer!
