Sorry, Big Soulja! Meek Mill is having the best come back of any rapper over the last decade. Since going through his infamous back and forth with Drake and dealing with his legal situation, Meek Mill has been on an incredible rise. Over the last year or so, Meek Mill has helped found his own criminal justice reform organization, written an op-ed for The New York Times and done business with billionaires. Somehow he found the time to still be featured on Lil’ Baby’s latest album, reunite with Drake and drop a number one album. Not to mention, he’s hinted at an upcoming collaboration with the middle child of rap, J. Cole.
This week, Meek Mill rose to new heights. During a tour stop in Houston, Meek Mill was honored by the city with his own official day. Yes, you read that correctly. In the city of Houston, February 24th will be known as Meek Mill day. That’s not a bad achievement for a kid who rose from battle rapping in Philly to having the number one album.
Meek Mill’s Motivation Tour will continue tomorrow in Phoenix before making stops in Los Angeles, New York, Atlanta and of course, Philadelphia.
