With Spring right around the corner, I thought I better start doing my Spring trend guides so you guys can start stocking up on the latest items!
The first trend I’m completely obsessed with is, bright pants! One of my favorite looks is Sarah Jessica Parker in bright pink pants by Prabal Gurung paired with a bright orange top. I absolutely love color blocking, and she looks beyond fierce! Sadly I’m not so daring, and if you’re like me and a little afraid to color block to the extreme like Sarah Jessica Parker, a simple white blouse works perfect with any pair of bright-colored pants.
Another Spring staple is a good pair of denim shorts. Some may think denim shorts are sloppy and only appropriate in the spring/summer time, but I’d have to disagree. I love a good pair of denim shorts, and nowadays they come in so many different styles that they can easily be dressed up. I think denim shorts can be worn year round, granted I do live in Los Angeles so we don’t really experience a cold Winter here, but slip a pair of cute tights underneath them, and you’re good to go during the fall! I would defiantly suggest investing in a few good pairs of denim shorts, you’ll defiantly put them to use this Spring and Summer.
The last Spring trend I love is the maxi skirt. They are simple, comfortable, and also very flattering. If you’re really petite, pair your maxi skirt with a nice pair of pumps, the extra couple of inches will allow the skirt to nicely skim the floor, rather than have it bunch up. While wearing maxi skirts, you need to keep in mind a few things: If the skirt hits the floor, they typically look great with a form-fitting top that is tucked in and even belted at the waist. If the skirt is very form-fitting, look to pair it with a looser fitting top.
