The Wrap is reporting that the Louisiana film incentive program has successfully lured the ‘Fantastic Four’ to shoot in the southern state instead of Vancouver like originally planned.
Louisiana offers a 30 percent transferable tax credit for in-state expenditures related to a film’s production and an extra 5 percent labor incentive for hiring state residents. These numbers are almost equal to what British Columbia offers. The ‘Fantastic Four’ will be Marvel’s first film to be shot in Louisiana.
There are no confirmed casting decisions yet, but the film starts shooting in September and is slated to hit theaters March 6, 2015.
