There has been another development in the ongoing saga surrounding Daniel “Tekashi 6ix9ine” Hernandez and his manager, Shotti. Faheem “Crippy” Walter has been sentenced to sixty-two months in prison after admitting to his involvement in a Manhattan robbery. Walter also admitting to having a firearm in his possession during the time of the robbery. However, the defendant denied ever using the weapon during the robbery.
In addition, the government also said that he was present during a shooting at the Barclays Center. Furthermore, the government also noted that he was present for an altercation at Phillipe Chow that resulted in him being shot.
During Wednesday’s hearing at the Thurgood Marshall United States Courthouse, Walter spoke before the court as well as his loved one. He said, “I acted against my better judgment and I know I was wrong.” He added, “I’ll never do anything to hurt anyone again.”
Walter had been one of the more visible figures around Tekashi 6ix9ine and Shotti. Assistant United States Attorney Michael Longyear described him as Shotti’s “right-hand man”. However, Walter’s legal defense showed that he had no gang affiliation.
Walter’s attorney, Edward Sapone, spoke to the state of his relationship wit Hernandez. He stated, “He wishes he never met Mr. Hernandez.”
Previously, the court had sentenced Walter’s co-defendant, Jesnel Butler, to five years in prison. Tekashi 6ix9ine and Shotti have yet to be sentenced. Other members of Tekashi 6ix9ine and Shotti’s circles are also heading towards trial.
