The latest out of Facebook is ‘Poke’, their new iPhone app. Most Facebook users are well aware of the ‘poke’ feature on Facebook, having been around since 2004. The Poke app, however, is different. Poke allows users to send messages, photos, videos, and of course pokes to Facebook friends. Similar to the popular app ‘Snapchat,’ Poke allows the user to set a self-destruct countdown (1, 3, 5 or 10 seconds) on any message they send. When the timer runs out, the message disappears from the app. Poke is now available in the app store.
