The Portland Trail Blazers have signed a new shooting guard. According to Adrian Wojnarowski of The Vertical, Evan Turner will be headed to Portland on a massive four-year deal worth $70 million.

Turner last played for the Celtics. The shooting guard/small forward combo had an overall solid season. He scored 10.5 points, grabbed 4.9 rebounds, and dropped 4.4 assists per game in 28 minutes of playing time. Where he especially struggled was shooting the ball as he hit only 20 threes all season at a 24% clip. In fact, Turner has never made more than 58 threes in a season.
Of course, the Blazers already have a sweet-shooting backcourt in Damian Lillard and CJ McCollum. They can, to an extent, weather Turner’s lack of shooting. This move may also signal that they have no plans on matching offers for their restricted free agent Allen Crabbe.
