He doesn’t want to be there but the Hornets are going to make sure that Eric Gordon remains in New Orleans for the next four-years. Gordon is set to sign a max offer sheet from the Phoenix Suns (4-years, $58 million) but New Orleans will match the deal according to reports.
For what it’s worth, Gordon has been public about his desire to move to the Suns organization.
“After visiting the Suns, the impression the organization made on me was incredible,” Gordon said in a statement. “Mr. (Robert) Sarver, Lon Babby, Lance Blanks, the Front Office Staff and Coach (Alvin) Gentry run a first-class organization, and I strongly feel they are the right franchise for me. Phoenix is just where my heart is now.”
