The phenom that was Eric Gordon has been derailed by injuries throughout his career ever since joining the New Orleans Pelicans in the deal that sent Chris Paul to the Los Angeles Clippers. Gordon only played in 53% of his games in the past 5 years with the Pelicans, totalling to 221 out of the potential 410 games. Despite not being one of the most healthy players in the league, when he has been able to play, he can flat-out score the ball, which makes him an interesting pick up for any team looking to add scoring off the bench this offseason.
With Gordon slated to be an unrestricted free agent come tomorrow, many teams are interested in his abilities. According to Chris Broussard of ESPN, Eric Gordon is receiving interest from the Rockets, Grizzlies, Knicks and the team that traded for him the New Orleans Pelicans:

Gordon is a pure scorer, he averaged 15 points and 2 3-pointers in the 45 games he played for the Pelicans this year, but $15 million for just over half the season is a deal that no one is going to take. Gordon will have to take a big pay cut this offseason, no matter what team he goes to, because quite frankly his injury issues have completely derailed his value. If Gordon was able to give a team 60-70 healthy to semi healthy games, Gordon’s value would be crucial to any team that needs some scoring off the bench. The Rockets, Grizzlies and Knicks are all looking for some consistency on their roster, which makes for a strange case to go after Gordon. Nonetheless, Gordon’s inconsistency health wise should be a great fit for the New York Knicks, who seem to be rounding up any player who is injury prone.
