Eric Bledsoe Rumored In Trade Talks With Lakers
This is strictly at rumor status right now, but a reported source from Phoenix broadcaster Jon Bloom claims that Phoenix Suns guard Eric Bledsoe is involved in a potential trade discussion with the Los Angeles Lakers — LA would send Phoenix their no. 7 overall pick Julius Randle, Jordan Hill, and a first-round draft pick from the Jeremy Lin deal to acquire Bledsoe, according to the source.
Bledsoe, a free agent, and Phoenix aren’t coming to terms so quickly with his new contract, and they have apparently spent plenty of time simply hearing out options for a trade. They’re expected to match just about any offer sheet to sign him, and haven’t shown any honest interest in trading him to this point.
The Suns’ signing of guard Isaiah Thomas seems strategic to have an extremely reliable three-guard line up for the back court. They want to hold onto that advantage. This is still just a rumor, so nothing confirmed or denied has surfaced just yet.
