Although the Phoenix Suns haven’t exactly set the world on fire this season(their last game was a loss to the now 2-30 Philadelphia 76ers), there are definite bright spots on the team.
One of those bright spots has been the play of point guard Eric Bledsoe. Bledsoe has averaged 20.4 points, 6.1 assists, and 4 rebounds per game this year. Those are fantastic numbers, and yet the Suns haven’t been great. They were expected to make somewhat of a leap this year, due to the play of Bledsoe and fellow guard Brandon Knight, and the acquisition of center Tyson Chandler.
Bledsoe himself certainly had high expectations this offseason. However, Bledsoe has suffered an injury to his left knee, per ESPN’s Brian Windhorst:
Suns' Eric Bledsoe suffered a left knee injury last night. Initial belief is he will be out until after All-Star break according to sources.

Ouch. The Suns are a bit of a mess. They signed Tyson Chandler, partially in an effort to tempt LaMarcus Aldridge to take his talents to Phoenix, but he signed with the Spurs instead. Since then, Chandler is looking like his age is catching up to him. Then there’s the endless drama surrounding Markieff Morris. That can’t be a great locker room situation. And now this? You’ve got to feel bad for the Suns.
