Looks like the Oklahoma City Thunder is going to need their big men to step up a little more after losing Serge Ibaka to surgery earlier this week.
Enes Kanter on he and Steven Adams: “They call us the Bruise Brothers”

With the name the Bruise Brothers I’m expecting to see some physically dominant big men in whenever OKC is playing. OKC guard Russell Westbrook seems pretty confident that the Bruise Brothers will be able to handle business while Ibaka recovers from his knee surgery.
Russell Westbrook on the Kanter/Adams frontline: “Nobody can out rebound us, I’ll tell you that much.”

The Bruise Brothers did put up a decent effort yesterday against the Dallas Mavericks, Kanter with 19 points and 13 boards, Adam with 15 points and eight boards, however it resulted in a 119-115 loss.
Westbrook and the Bruise Brothers will have to continue to play great basketball if they want to keep OKC in playoff contention. My gut is telling me they’ll be fine, especially with reports that last years MVP Kevin Durant is inching closer to his much awaited return.
OKC is still sitting in the eight spot since the Pelicans lost their game the other day but if they win tonight they’ll take back that eighth spot since they hold the tiebreaker.
Pelicans take on the Bucks tonight at 8pm ET on NBA TV. The Thunder next game will be vs the Celtics at 8pm ET on Wednesday.
