When Kevin Durant opted to make a career-defining move and join the Golden State Warriors last summer, his relationship with not only Russell Westbrook was broken, but with the entire Oklahoma City Thunder organization. The uneasiness between Durant and OKC has continued on to this day and it doesn’t seem as if the rift between the two parties is going away anytime soon if this last week was any indication.
Durant recently had a slight blunder on his Twitter account, bashing head coach Billy Donavan and his former teammates in a series of now deleted tweets but in a strange 3rd person kind of way, leading some to believe that KD may have a second Twitter account. Regardless if this is the case or not, Thunder big man Enes Kanter doesn’t plan on sitting idly by while his organization gets badmouthed by an ex-player as the Turkish center took to Twitter himself in defense of his teammates:

Enes Kanter has been one of the premier names involved in this entire saga with Kevin Durant dating back to last year when things got chippy between the two in game. Though Kanter has been working out with Durant periodically this summer, there’s no doubt he will always have his teammates back as indicated by his past loyalty to Russell Westbrook and OKC.
Durant has since apologized for his comments on Twitter but once something is already out, it’s pretty much too late. Durant said what he said and if nothing else, we should expect this entire ordeal to add some extra headlines the next time OKC faces off against the Warriors.
