The Washington Wizards have reached an agreement to receive Emeka Okafor in a trade from the New Orleans Hornets who would receive Rashard Lewis and the 46th pick in next week’s draft. Trevor Ariza is also included in the deal, he is being sent to the Wizards as part of the package.
The Hornets have also created cap space with the move – Lewis is entering the last season of a six-year, $118 million contract – and will now focus on re-signing shooting guard Eric Gordon, along with expected number one pick Anthony Davis.
