This is the scariest superhero movie you will see. The trailer gave me chills. I’m not going to describe it in any other way, but please, watch the trailer for ‘Brightburn’.
So, imagine what would happen if a superhero, went bad? That all of those fairytale stories about super-humans or aliens coming from above to save us is all one sick joke? What if the world’s first superhero is actually inherently evil?
It’s a frightening thought to have but James Gunn explores it in his latest film ‘Brightburn’. Elizabeth Banks stars as the adopted mother of a baby that came from the sky and hit a small-town farm. Sounds familiar right? It’s essentially if Superman was evil and realistically? It hasn’t been explored enough.
It’s interesting because Gunn was in talks to direct a Superman movie and maybe, just maybe, he got his chance to make an evil one. I love the concept and the idea is amazing. The trailer is horrifying, making for one of the only scary/superhero movies…ever.
The movie hits theatres May 24th, 2019.
