That’s it. It’s all over. The St.Louis Rams have given up on their former number 1 overall pick from the 2010 NFL Draft, Sam Bradford.
The same goes for the Philadelphia Eagles as they give up on their surprise project in Nick Foles.
The 2 quarterbacks have been exchanged for each other in a deal that also includes some draft picks.
Following from ESPN.com.
The St. Louis Rams are close to trading quarterback Sam Bradford to the Philadelphia Eagles for quarterback Nick Foles, sources told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter.
The St. Louis Rams have elected to move on from former No. 1 overall pick Sam Bradford by trading him to the Eagles for Nick Foles.
The deal is also expected to feature draft-pick compensation heading to the Rams.
Bradford has not played in a regular-season game since his 2013 season ended with a torn ACL. He was on track fora big time return with the Rams in 2014 before suffering a second torn left ACL before the season even started.
Foles ended the 2014 season on the sideline due to injury, just like Sam Bradford. Foles suffered a broken collarbone in an Eagles victory over the Houston Texans back in November and was replaced by Mark Sanchez, who recently re-signed with the Eagles.
While it’s expected that Foles will be the starter in St.Louis, Bradford might be involved in a little quarterback controversy in Philadelphia.
Especially if the Eagles do end up moving up in the draft and taking Marcus Mariota.
