The Philadelphia Eagles have just boasted their secondary. Leodis McKelvin is headed to the city of brotherly love.
The #Eagles announced they signed CB Leodis McKelvin. I’m told it’s a 2-year deal worth just over $6M.

The price for McKelvin seems rather reasonable consider the Dolphins traded for Byron Maxwell’s $63 million contract. GM Howie Roseman adds to his already impressive offseason. McKelvin was approached by the Bills to restructure his deal. After he refused the former 11th overall pick in the 2008 draft found himself on the open market.
The move allows him to be reunited with his former Bills defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz. In 2015, McKelvin grabbed two interceptions to go along with 32 tackles. He graded out rather poorly according to Pro Football Focus as the 83rd ranked corner. Nevertheless McKelvin was scheduled to meet with the Dallas Cowboys following his visit in Philly. The Eagles made sure he wasn’t going to leave the building without a contract in hand.
