The Texas Longhorns have landed talented sophomore forward Dylan Disu from the Vanderbilt Commodores. Head Coach Chris Beard has made it his mission to make Texas an instant contender in his first season with the program. He has loaded the program with talented transfers for his first season with Texas. The addition of Disu makes this Texas’ roster even more deadly and with Beard as the Head Coach, they should be an instant National Championship contender.
Texas has now landed Dylan Disu (Vanderbilt), Devin Askew (Kentucky), Timmy Allen (Utah), and Christian Bishop (Creighton) via the transfer portal.
Longhorns are still waiting on decisions from Matt Coleman, Jericho Sims, and Greg Brown regarding their status for next season. https://t.co/3rwJ6efNwP

Dylan Disu is a legitimate talent that can shoot and rebound at a high level. He was easily one of Vanderbilt’s best players last year. His sophomore year he averaged 15 points, 9.2 rebounds, and 1.2 blocks per game for the Commodores. He paired those numbers with a shooting percentage of 49.2 percent and a three-point percentage of 36.9 percent. Disu is the perfect combination of scoring, rebounding, and defense. This is a great player for Chris Beard to add to the Longhorn’s roster.
Head Coach Chris Beard has added starting-level talent at each position and will likely have potential starters coming off the bench. Texas will not be the number one contender for the Championship, but they should easily be a top-five program heading into next season. Chris Beard is a great head coach and betting against him next year in the Big 12 could be a big mistake. Texas still has its eyes on a few transfers and may be able to add a name or two before their roster is finalized.
