The Miami Heat will not push Dwyane Wade too hard in the first week of training camp which opens next week. The guard is coming off knee surgery during the off-season and head coach Erik Spoesltra says it’s best to ease Wade back into it, the team has it’s eye on having it’s star – along with forward Mike Miller – healthy for the entire season.
“We’ll be very big-picture oriented with both of them and make sure they’re progressing at a healthy rate and getting stronger and getting conditioned,” Spoelstra said. “They know the system and what to expect, so I believe we’ll all be on the same page with that.
“He’s [Wade] not 100 percent,” Spoelstra said. “So we’re going to be very vigilant on how we progress him.”
Wade missed the summer Olympics following the surgery which was required after he battled pain and swelling in his knee throughout the playoffs.
