Today the All-Star reserves will be named. The picks will be made by the coaches of the NBA. Not the fans (yes I’m still grinding on that).
Before Kyle Lowry snuck in to get the Eastern Conference starter spot. It was Dwyane Wade who was in the lead for the most part behind John Wall. So it’s safe to say that Wade would probably be named as an All-Star reserve.
Calling a sudden news conference on Tuesday at AmericanAirlines Arena, Wade told reporters, “I won’t be seeing y’all for a little while, so take a good look at this face.” The shooting guard strained his hamstring on Tuesday night in the Heat’s loss to the Milwaukee Bucks, and he said the best-case scenario for his return would be two to three weeks. That means Wade would miss the All-Star game if he is picked as a reserve, and also miss Heat’s road game against LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers on Feb.11.
“You can’t put a time on it,” Wade said. “You can’t look at the hamstring and say you’re going to be out this amount of games. Like many muscle strains, you’ve got to go day-by-day.”
This is Wade’s third leg injury of the season.
Man you’d think that he’s going on an expedition to the antarctic the way he’s saying “I won’t be seeing y’all for a while”.
Even though this is his third injury this season. He’s been amazing on the court. He’s has the highest PPG in the 4th quarter. He’s had a good season despite the injuries. He still hates the healing process.
“Where this thing has me is frustrated and where I stand I have no idea,” Wade said. “It’s just the second day of a pulled hamstring.“
As a Heat fan. I hate to see this. But I know that Dwyane Wade works extremely hard to recover every time he has a problem. And that’s why I’m confident in his recovery.
