Currently in the midst of making an important free agency decision, guard Dwyane Wade has agreed to a contract, but not the type one may think.
Wade, already under a shoe contract with Chinese apparel brand Li-Ning, has reportedly agreed to an extension. According to ESPN’s Nick DePaula, Wade is set to sign a lifetime contract with Li-Ning.
BREAKING: Dwyane Wade has agreed to a Lifetime Deal with Chinese brand Li-Ning.
He first signed with the company in 2012, is launching his 7th Way of Wade signature shoe & has 11 standalone Wade stores in China. Li-Ning boasts more than 7,000 stores in Asia.

Wade has already been the headlining member of the overseas brand since 2012 when he left the iconic Jordan brand and opted for a largely unknown apparel company in the world of basketball. Since then, Wade has released a series of sneakers and with a lifetime contract now under his belt, we can certainly expect more to come.
However, it remains to be seen whether Wade will be able to wear any future renditions of his sneaker on the court. The 36-year-old veteran has yet to find a team for next season after suiting up for the Miami Heat last year, but could still provide solid bench value for a contender in need of one more piece.
The financial details of Wade’s lifetime deal have yet to be disclosed, but it’s fair to estimate that figure will likely be in the tens of millions of dollars.
