The Chicago Bulls are a team loaded with talent and names. They are also loaded with many questions about fit in modern basketball.
The projected Bulls’ starting lineup includes star Jimmy Butler and new additions Dwyane Wade and Rajon Rondo. Those are some of the most notable players in the league for various reasons. They also happen to be among the worst shooters from distance.
But worry not, Bulls fans. The “three alphas” as they have started calling each other are not concerned about their shooting prowess. In fact, they are encouraging each other to keep shooting.
Dwyane Wade says he, Jimmy Butler and Rajon Rondo have been encouraging each other to shoot 3s and feel comfortable doing so.

What could possibly go wrong?
In order to have some semblance of spacing when those three share the floor, they’re going to have to occasionally shoot from distance. The problem is they are incredibly bad at it, as a group.
Jimmy Butler is a 32.8% career three-point shooter. Dwyane Wade is a 28.4% career three-point shooter. Rajon Rondo is a 28.9% career three-point shooter.
That’s not…good.
But hey, maybe with more attempts, they’ll magically make a higher percentage too. If not, Fred Hoiberg has some lineup combinations to work out.
