The Chicago Bulls are in a weird place right now. They’re trapped between the playoffs and tanking. The dysfunction all season hasn’t quite equaled failure but the product that often takes the court isn’t exactly the Bulls of the 90’s, to put it nicely. The center of the drama has been the dynamic between Jimmy Butler, Dwyane Wade and Rajon Rondo and now one of those ‘alphas’ will see his season come to an end.
Dwyane Wade suffered an arm injury late in the Bulls loss to the Memphis Grizzlies on Wednesday night. The former NBA All-Star left the game without any clear answer on his future. He didn’t know last night but this afternoon, he finally received an answer. The Bulls announced that Dwyane Wade has a small fracture in his elbow and also suffered an elbow sprain.

In his debut season for the Bulls, Wade averaged 18.6 points per game, 4.5 rebounds, 3.9 assists while shooting 43 percent from the field. But his first season in Chicago also coincided with him not being named to the NBA All-Star game for the first time since his rookie season in 2003-04.
