Dwyane Wade recently did an interview with Sports Illustrated during his time off due to an elbow injury. In the interview, Wade discussed different parts of his life that didn’t deal with playing basketball. One of the topics was the banana boat crew — LeBron James, Carmelo Anthony, Chris Paul, and Wade.
The Flash was asked if he ever asks the crew for advice on his fashion choices (he doesn’t), and then he was asked if any of the guys give others a hard time for their fashion choices.
“Chris Paul recently, when he was out with his thumb injury, he had wore this, it was really like this diarrhea brown—not diarrhea green—diarrhea brown turtleneck with the jacket. Oh man, I went right to the group chat with the eye emoji like ‘What the?’ But they do the same to me. So we definitely have some fun with each other on things like that.”
Dwyane Wade will no longer have to do interviews about his life off the court for the next couple of weeks as he is gearing up to play in his first game back since getting injured, after what was originally thought to be a season-ending injury.
The Chicago Bulls are fighting for their lives in the playoff race, currently beating out the Indiana Pacers and Wade’s former team, the Miami Heat, for one of the last playoff spots. The Bulls are tied with the Pacers for the seventh and eighth seed, while Miami sits just half a game back.
