Dwight Howard isn’t liked much these days. Ever since the Lakers he’s not been the most favoured player ever. When you get the label of “Coach Killer” and stuff like that sticks with you.
And of course there are the people who just plain don’t like him for some reason or another. But we seem to forget the child abuse thing. According to Fox 26 Sports Houston. Howard will not be charged for child abuse.
Howard’s ex-girlfriend, Royce Reed, alleged last year Howard beat his then six-year old son with a belt causing bruises and abrasions.
“I can confirm we are not moving forward with charges in this case,” said Sgt. Gregory Lyon, in an email to FOX 26 Sports.
Howard’s attorney, David Oscar Markus, is pleased with the decision.
“We are gratified that the Atlanta Police Department, after fully examining the frivolous allegations against Dwight Howard, has closed the case and decided not to proceed with charges,” said Markus in a statement to FOX 26 Sports.
“Dwight Howard will continue to act in the best interest of his children and do whatever is necessary to protect their welfare.“
So I take it there were no bruises/abrasions? Because if they were there and the police did nothing about it. I have a serious problem with that.
