In 72 hours or so, the tornado that is the trade deadline will be in full effect. I personally am dreading this because there are names and teams being thrown around that are not sitting right with me.
It’s no secret that I am a Miami Heat fan, but whenever I am presented with something Heat based I give my professional opinion along with my “Heat fan” opinion. Which brings me to the possibility of Dwight Howard going to Miami (or Atlanta) if he’s traded from Houston.
Dwight Howard, the Rockets told him last week he could be traded before the deadline. Dwight, if he’s moved, would like to go to Atlanta, maybe Miami.
Those are words from ‘Mr Sources’, ESPN’s Chris Broussard as he had to have something to present on SportsCenter.
With the ‘Heat fan’ hat on, please no. I don’t want Howard. Professionally, the trade makes sense on both sides and that’s if you include either Miami or Atlanta. The Boston Celtics are still in the hunt for Howard.
And before you whine. I know that the Heat need to trade Whiteside. I spent an hour or so on Friday on the trade machine, making deals that basically had the criteria “Anyone but Dwight”. I had some great deals done including Milwaukee, New York Knicks, Atlanta and Boston. Call me Pat Riley please! I can help!
