Fegan was fired last summer by a different center with a similar play style: DeAndre Jordan.
It’s quite likely that this will be Howard’s last season in Houston. He can opt out of his contract this offseason, and let’s face it, this season hasn’t gone as planned for the Rockets. After making the Western Conference Finals last season, the team is just 29-29, sitting at 9th in the West.
Prior to the trade deadline, there was a large amount of chatter about whether the Rockets would trade Howard; his name was linked to the Hornets, Hawks and Heat among other teams.
It will be interesting to see who Howard looks at to be his new agent. Rich Paul is the most enticing name at the moment, as he was able to get Tristan Thompson a 5-year, $82 million contract. Other notable clients of Paul’s include LeBron James, John Wall, and Eric Bledsoe. Another possible agent could be Rob Pelinka of Landmark Sports, who already has 2 of Howards teammates as agents: James Harden and Trevor Ariza. Pelinka is also Kobe Bryant’s agent.
