Lance Gross, Macy Gray, Melissa Williams and James Hyde take center stage in the first trailer for Dutch. Dutch is an adaptation of Teri Woods’ novel of the same name. It follows the story of Bernard “Dutch” James Jr., an ambitious drug dealer who aspires to be the top kingpin on the east coast while battling legal troubles.
“We really got our hands on an all-star cast,” Dutch producer Manny Halley said.
“Dutch is an iconic story within the urban literary genre, so we had to get every detail right—and I think we did. Fans will be looking for us to finish the trilogy with this one,” Halley added.
Teri Woods’ Dutch is the first of a three novel series. At the moment, it’s unclear if this film will be followed by two others. Only time will tell. In the meantime, watch the first trailer for Dutch starring Lance Gross, Macy Gray, Melissa Williams and James Hyde. The film is expected to hit theaters this fall.
