After speculation as to what could have happened last year if Draymond Green had avoided his suspension, Green admitted that it was indeed his fault that the Warriors lost the Finals last year.
In a preview for his E:60 segment on ESPN, Draymond was very clear that he is the one to blame for the Warriors losing last year’s Finals. But, he is not sorry for the action that earned him the suspension.
Draymond’s mother, Mary Babers, makes an appearance in the preview and she was not shy about sharing her feelings. “[He’s] the heart and soul of the team. If you take out the heart, how does the body live?”
If Draymond did not get suspended for the fifth game of the Finals, then we may be talking about the Warriors winning their third straight title this season. But, live and learn, and Green has definitely learned from his mistake.
