Golden State Warriors star forward Draymond Green has avoided suspension by the NBA after his actions in game 3 of the 2016 Western Conference Finals against the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Green attempted to put up a shot midway through the second quarter and he attempted to sell a foul from Thunder big man Steven Adams. As a result of Adams’ contact, Green flailed his whole body including a low blow kick right to Adams’ groin area.
Now Green will have to pay the price for his actions, especially considering this isn’t the first time Green has made contact with Adams’ lower extremities but it won’t be with a suspension.

From Sam Amick of USA Today Sports.
No suspension for Draymond Green, I can confirm. @WojVerticalNBA first reported. Told it’s a Flagrant 2 & a fine.

The fine for Draymond Green, I’m told, is for $25,000. He and the Warriors get to play another day. Quite the break they’re catching here.

Following from an official NBA press release.
“After a thorough investigation that included review of all available video angles and interviews with the players involved and the officials working the game, we have determined that Green’s foul was unnecessary and excessive and warranted the upgrade and fine,” said VanDeWeghe.
“During a game, players – at times – flail their legs in an attempt to draw a foul,” VanDeWeghe continued, “but Green’s actions in this case warranted an additional penalty.”
