Draymond Green is not one to mince words. The Golden State Warriors power forward has become well-known for his trash-talking on and off the court. But the Warriors’ glue-guy has had plenty of other quotable moments as well.
Green was asked about the importance of winning 73 games and whether the Warriors are focused on it rather than only setting their sights on the championship by Sports Illustrated. Green responded by saying the title is important beyond anything else, but he did so in a way that only Draymond can:
“My greatest fear is never experiencing [winning a championship] again,” Green says to me over a cheeseburger one day. “It’s better than sex.”
Well then.
The Warriors do seem focused on winning the title, dominating their way through the league thus far. That same domination has led to an ever-present possibility of winning a single-season record 73 games or more.
Having broken out as one of the best and most versatile players in the league, Green likely does not have to worry about not winning another championship, no matter how scary that thought may be.
