The Golden State Warriors are in the midst of an unsurprising playoff run after a dominant regular season. The team has run through the competition thus far this postseason, sweeping the shorthanded Portland Trail Blazers and Utah Jazz in the first two rounds of the 2017 NBA Playoffs.
With the Warriors fully expected to come out of the Western Conference, they are one of the most talked about teams in the media, a subject that doesn’t sit right with All-Star forward Draymond Green. The Michigan State product has grown to be one of the more outspoken and vocal players in the league.
The candor Green has with the media has resulted in some negative headlines such as when he most recently stated that he thought the Cleveland Cavaliers would face tougher opposition in the playoffs.
After the most recent incident, Green took issue with the way media chases headlines and tries to twist his words to create controversy. Following from Anthony Slater of San Jose Mercury News:

It’s hard to fault Green for feeling how he feels about the media, as it is hard to speak your mind in today’s NBA without being criticized for it. Throughout his first five years in the NBA, Green has developed a reputation as a skilled trash talker and a player who will speak his mind to media, whether it regards his Warriors or other teams.
Moving forward, Draymond’s rocky relationship with the media should only serve as a sidenote for Golden State as they look to continue their quest towards reaching the NBA Finals for a third consecutive season.
