The 2017 NBA Finals are finally here and the rivalry between the Golden State Warriors and Cleveland Cavaliers is brewing in the media.
But there’s also a mutual respect between the two sides who have played two tough Finals series in a row and are looking to settle the score this year.
Most recently, Warriors forward and professional trash-talker Draymond Green was asked by Good Morning America about LeBron James’ legacy, a recent topic of conversation as the Cavaliers’ star continues on the trek to surpassing Michael Jordan as the greatest player of all time. Green is fine with James earning that title but there is a condition:

That’s the right attitude from Green. He’s paying respect to LeBron (even if it’s a little back-handed to say it’s subjective – he is right about that) but he’s also not sitting back and just admiring James.
The way that the Warriors last year – blowing a 3-1 lead after Green was suspended in game five because of an altercation with LeBron – has left a bad taste in their mouths and it’s clear that they are aiming to avenge their loss.
