Game fours in the NBA Finals have been a problem for Draymond Green and his fouls. In the 2015 NBA Finals, Draymond scored 17 points, grabbed seven rebounds and handed out six assists as the Warriors won in Cleveland and tied the series 2-2 but Green ended the game with five fouls. Game four of the 2016 NBA Finals was back in Cleveland and this game was when Green took an infamous swipe at LeBron James’ lower extremities, he was assessed a flagrant foul and was then suspended for game five.
Since then, Green has acknowledged that he was the reason the Warriors lost the series. So what would happen in game four of the 2017 NBA Finals back in Cleveland? Some more drama.
Draymond Green got into it early in the game during a jump ball when he swiped at Iman Shumpert. He was given a flagrant foul, his head coach Steve Kerr was supposed to receive a technical foul and that’s when everything just went downhill. Later on in the game, Green was given a technical foul for complaining another foul call and he was almost ejected. Then, he was no ejected. It was really weird. Many people were confused and it took a long time to properly determine what actually happened. It was just one of the many incidents that took place between the two rivals but this one possibly could have changed a few things for the game. Even with Green remaining in the contest, the Cavs would pull away and win game four to hang on for at least one more game.
