It is very clear that the city of Toronto belongs to Aubrey Drake Graham. To solidify this, the Views From The 6 artist is being honored by receiving the key to said city. Mayor of Toronto, John Tory, shared this information on Twitter that Drake will be giving this pretigious honor during the celebrity game, that he is coaching in, tonight (Feb. 12).
The Toronto Star reports:
“They talked quite a bit about Drake’s role in the city and all he’s contributed,” said spokesperson Amanda Galbraith. “This is kind of the start of a longer collaboration between the two of them.”
In in video posted by the mayor he states, “Toronto must tell its stories. We must celebrate our talent & harness it for change. This isn’t swagger. It is key.”
