It could all be in God’s plan for Drake to jump the Jordan ship and join team Adidas. A number of sneaker insiders at Sole Collector are reporting that the Canadian rapper and entrepreneur is unhappy with the Jordan brand and is looking to join the German sneaker giant, Addidas. Sole Collector is reporting that the Toronto native is “looking for an exit and a new deal that would afford him more creative control.” Furthermore, the sneaker website is reporting that Drake is “in talks” with the sneaker company because they may be willing to give the rapper the control he is looking for.
Is Drake leaving Jordan Brand?

These reports could be the cause of Addidas canceling an activation last week on 747 Warehouse Street in California and Drake recently liking a number of Adidas Instagram posts. If the reports are true, Drake would not be the first rapper to join team Adidas. Adidas is already home to G.O.O.D Music’s Pusha T and Kanye West. With that being said, it would be a major surprise considering Drake and the Jordan brand have experienced a great deal of success, but as we all know “business is business”.
Nothing has been confirmed as of yet, so stay tuned for more reports. In the meantime, stay tuned for more music and business announcements from the OVO camp. Also, be sure to check out his latest video for “God’s Plan”.
