Directed by Nathan James Tettey and Theo Skudra, Drake stars in the “Only You Freestyle” video alongside Headie One. Shot in a dimly lit garage with luxury cars, the two stars go bar for bar on the M1 on the Beat produced track.
“I had to go hard, especially on a track with one of the best drill artists in the world,” Drake said.
Throughout the new track, the Canadian star sports new flows, speaks Arabic and possibly take shots at Pusha T. Meanwhile, Headie One strives to prove the pop star true by delivering a lyrical performance.
“Sh*t you man been droppin’ lately/Don’t make me have to fly my iTunes/So much people buy into my hype/Don’t make me have to buy my hype too/Dealt with the big homie already/Don’t make me have to side-by-side you/Nuff times he tried to hide behind you,” Drake likely jabs at Pusha T and Kanye West.
“We dishin’ out store and telly/Then we in France running out Trezeguet/She look sexy, sippin’ on Henny/If it feels good, I’ma pass the penny/She give headie, headie,” Headie One raps.
This is Drake’s latest effort following the two-pack he dropped on July 17, 2020 with DJ Khaled. He’s also reportedly working on releasing more new music before the end of the month.
