According to a report from OnSmash, Drake is negotiating a deal to become a producer for 50 Cent’s upcoming Black Mafia Family series. The move would come as no surprise considering Drake’s track record in television. Most notably, the Toronto native got his start in entertainment by playing the role of Jimmy Brooks on Degrassi. More recently, the Grammy award winner has had success executive producing HBO’s Euphoria and the latest season of Top Boy.
Meanwhile, 50 Cent continues his success in the world of television. Most notably, the New York native has produced, directed and starred in the Starz hit series, Power. Moving forward, 50 Cent will continue to work with Starz on a Power spin-off and he has signed on to work with ABC on other original content. Not to mention, he is working on the aforementioned Black Mafia Family series.
Drake nor 50 Cent have confirmed or denied these reports. According to OnSmash, 50 Cent has began casting and finished the script for the show. More news will be reported as it becomes available.
