The 2016 NCAA Tournament field has been filled! All 68 teams have been selected and while the biggest name in college basketball, Ben Simmons, will be not be attending the big dance, there is still some legit star power in the tourney.
The East Region is led by the North Carolina University with dynamic senior duo Brice Johnson and Marcus Paige at the one seed followed by second seeded Xavier, West Virginia University seeded third and rounding out the top four, the University of Kentucky with national player of the year candidate Tyler Ulis powering the powerhouse program. Teams to watch outside of the top four in the East include Indiana, Providence led by point guard Kris Dunn and Wisconsin.
The Midwest region has another ACC team slated at the top with Virginia University led by senior standout Malcolm Brogdon. Michigan State was expected to be a one seed but they are two in the Midwest and led by the favorite for National Player of the year in Denzel Valentine and the Spartans might be the favorites in this bracket. Utah is ranked third and Iowa State rounds out the top four.
In the South Region, Perry Ellis and Wayne Selden Jr lead the Kansas Jayhawks as the number one overall seed in the tournament. Villanova is the second seed in the South, University of Miami is third and Cal University rounds out the top four. Teams to watch in this bracket include the fifth seed Maryland Terrapins led by dynamic playmaking point guard Melo Trimble and freshman big man Diamond Stone. Ninth seeded Uconn is always a team to watch during March Madness, Arizona is the sixth seed and they are led by a trio of seniors in Ryan Anderson, Gabe York and Kaleb Tarczewski and Temple could be an interesting team at the 10 seed.
Finally, the West Region might be the most interesting highlighted by the Oregon Ducks holding the top seed. Buddy Hield and the Oklahoma Sooners are second, Texas A&M has the three seed and defending NCAA Champion Duke Blue Devils are the fourth seed. Baylor, Texas and Cincinnati are all interesting teams to keep an eye on in this region.
